Health & Safety

McAlpine Hussmann is committed to provide safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health. It is our belief that all workers are able to “Get Home Safely” each day, injury-free and in good health.

To realise this, we will identify and eliminate hazards and reduce H&S risks that pose a threat to the personal health and/or safety of our workers.

With a comprehensive strategy in place, our Health & Safety Management system will be appropriate to the purpose, size and context of our organisation, and to the specific nature of H&S risks and opportunities.

McAlpine Hussmann is determined to be the industry leader in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), and to satisfy legislative requirements requires its activities to conform to relevant legislation and good, established practices including Australian / New Zealand Standards (AS/NZS).

Key goals and objectives:

  • Provide and maintain for employees a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that safe working practices are followed in all dealings with customers, and those customers and/or their customers are not exposed to undue health and safety risks.
  • Ensure that all obligations are met in relation to all relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice and safe operating procedures.
  • Investigate all reported accidents and injuries to ensure all contributing factors are identified and plans are formulated to take corrective action.
